Sr. Aerospace CAD/Drafter

As our Sr. Aerospace CAD/Drafter, you will be responsible for developing solid models and engineering drawings for aircraft and aircraft systems, assemblies, components and test rigs. Working knowledge of ANSI Y14 required. Experience developing various aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings to document design and to support manufacturing, assembly and installation, is essential.

Principal activities include requirements review and drawing coordination with both internal and external customers (staff engineers, managers, Sr. Executives, manufacturing subcontractors, etc). Additional duties include the development and administration of drawing standards/practices, mentoring less experienced CAD personnel, and evaluation CAD resources. In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and lofting complex surface geometries is highly desired. Ten years CAD experience, preferably using SolidWorks 2017. Experience with other comparable 3D CAD programs may be considered. Experience with designing metallic and/or composite parts and assemblies and effectively putting a theoretical design onto a 2D manufacturing drawing. Experience with lofting of complex shapes preferred. Experience with FEM preferred. Ability to understand and work within aircraft and aerospace design process. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Electric Vehicle Systems Engineer

As or EVSE, you will be responsible for electrical and electronics engineering applied to the design and modification of electric powered aircraft. A working knowledge of electric motor principles and design, digital power control, and design and handling of motive power energy storage systems is required.

Principal activities include systems and technology research, development of specifications, prototype design, manufacturing and test and system installation and test. Additional duties include but are not limited to: subcontractor management, supporting technical interchange meetings participation at various industry conferences, trade shows and technical committees. Working knowledge of CAD systems and principles required (SolidWorks preferred). Experience with aircraft certification programs highly desired. Experience designing, assembling and using systems integration equipment/labs beneficial. 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering in aerospace, electrical vehicles, or comparable field. Experience with design, build and test of Embedded Systems. Experience with design, build and test of PCB and corresponding schematics. Experience with advanced level C and C++ programming. Experience with Autodesk. BSEE required, MSEE preferred.
